He experienced separation from His Father, rejection from His creation and humiliation from those He cared enough to die for. Then He experienced the full punishment for our sins and paid for the debt that we were supposed to pay; all this was done because of His love for His Father and His love for you. The Bible says that Jesus was slain before the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8, Ephesians 1:4).
He knew you by name, and He died for YOU! He thought of you, and that is why He was able to endure the cross and separation from His Father. When we think of all He has done for us and bought for us, and when we know how much He loves us, we can't help but put Him in first place!
